Join us for the evening to bring in 2022, with some 70s and 80s music and a whole lotta reasonable amount of fun.

Tickets are required, at £5 each. The tickets are also entries into a raffle.

Half of the ticket proceeds will go to the Wivenhoe Christmas lights, while the other half will go towards raffle prizes.

Soups: Pea & Ham or Veg & Pearl Barley Broth
Mains: Beef Wellington or Leek & Mushroom Wellington or Game Pie, all served with new pots and veg.
Puddings: Sticky Toffee or Jam Roly Poly or Bread & Butter puddings, all served with either custard or ice cream or cream
Cheese: A fine selection of English cheeses
Beer: Nelson’s Revenge (Woodforde’s Brewery, Norfolk)

Tickets are £40, please specify your menu selections when booking.

The Colchester Trafalgar Society, an informal band of volunteers, will be in attendance to add a bit of colour to the evening.

Two members will be in attendance; Roger will play his squeeze box prior to the meal and at the end for “Heart of Oak”. Peter Ward will give a 15-minute account of Ben Snood and James Martin (both served in the Battle and are buried in Wivenhoe Churchyard) and answer any questions about the Georgian Navy.

A model ship centrepiece and a painting and the famous bunting will also be on display.

A brief lesson in flag reading may be requested.

Yes, it's back. The Black Buoy August Bank holiday beer and cider festival, from midday Friday 27th August through to Monday evening 30th August. And what a line up we've got! Cloudwater, Cheshire Brewery, Good Chemistry, Green Jack, Oakham, Boutilliers, Mr Winters, Mighty Oak, Swannay and much more. And not forgetting ciders from the famous Snails Bank. Orderly queue please. And to accompany this fabulous range of beers & ciders we present live music on Saturday and Sunday. Oh, nearly forgot the BBQ. So what's not to like?
